DaM Server   a division of Planet_10 Enterprises Limited Mac WebHosting The DaM* Server is a service for a small number of clients -- usually ones involved with us in our other businesses -- that provides easy to use, personal web services with more than the usual hand-holding. Often the web-serving also involves our assistance in generation of the initial web-site, and help with maintenance. The DaM Server uses very complete, fast, reliable, and easy to maintain Web Server software that provides forms without CGIs (requires some intervention on our part), stats mailed to you every day as well as on-line (each has a different set of info). The DaM Server runs on a Blue & White "Smurf" G3 under Mac OS 9.2.2. This ensures reliable operation & virtual invulnerability to attack (except for Denial of Service attacks). The server sits on a very fast pipe so any slow downs are generally down-stream. The rate structure is simple and affordable * origin of the name DaM Server: originally the server was Dave & Mike's server, the name was jokingly put forward & it stuck. Mike has since gotten his own server so i guess DaM now stands for Dave & Mom (my mom doesn't even have a computer :^)
